I've done this on a 6" with a normal drillpress, I believe 600rpm lowest
speed. The motor will slow down automatically when it has to deliver serious
effort. The disk came out in short time. I found that you have to refresh
grit very often and make short goes with the highest pressure that doesn't
stop the drill.

Tried this first with two pulleys and a V belt, but it was a complete
disaster. Too quick and too dirty a job I guess.
