Not sure if you are being serious, so I'll try and tread lightly. There are 
a number of well documented physiological reasons why we sometimes see 
flashes / spots / stars in our eyes when there is apparently nothing there. 
I have never heard of it being due to sub-sonic noise though. The reasons 
range from the shadows of blood corpuscles to the shifting of the vitreous 
within our eyes - which becomes more frequent as we age. Tesla's experiences 
sound like a case of eye damage - probably brought on by excessive exposure 
to intense electromagnetic fields and ultra-violet light. Can't imagine 
where that came from ...... !!   ;-)
