If you try different puller configurations with flex.exe you will note that 
you
will not have to use a large puller. A ring puller spanning the 40% to 50% 
zone
will correct your sphere to better than 1/10th wave.  Even a simple center 
pull
will give you a 1/4 wave mirror.
