[ATM] Halpha filters

To the ATM listserv:

Has anyone in this group ever used a Coronado Halpha
filter with a Newtonian?  I'd like some advice about
this, and am contemplating using the SolarMax
60mm/BF30
with an 8" f/6.25 with faceplate.  Coronado advised
that this is cumbersome and not advisable, and that I
should just purchase there small dedicated solar
telescope with filters already attached.  Any advice
would be greatly appreciated.  Estimates for weights
of the 60mm filter and BF30 would also be appreciated.
