I don't have the prescription of the design so I can't really tell what is
going wrong there.  The positive lens being a crown and the negative lens
being a flint should make a lot of the color go away.  It may be that you
need to do a doublet for one of the lenses instead and that is something
altogether different.  It may also be that you want to use another crown
lens that isn't so far away as the flint glass is.
