[ATM] Temperature-changes

Hello everybody on the ATM-list,
 
I got two questions about thermal expansion.
In what way do temperature-changes affect a mirrorsurface?
1 - is it because of irregularaties in the airtemperature (and therefore
changes in the shape of the surface)?
2 - because of changes in the thickness of the mirror ? (in that case: the
thinner the mirror, the less the temperature effect)
3 - because of changes in the width of the mirror? (in that case: thermal
effects should increase dramatically with larger mirrors: this does not seem
to be the case)
4 - or because of irregularaties in the airtemperature and therefore changes
in the boundary-layer?
5 - Else??? 
 
And what is the thermal coeficient of Pyrex and other optical glasstypes?
(in metric units please).
