Bryan,
We don't ordinarily use full thickness mirrors for flexing. Yes, the 
calculated tension is correct for a mirror that thick. A proof of concept 8" 
F6 I made was 1/2" thick and correction was close to the predicted 25 lbs. 
of tension.
