Now go back at some later time and make a large spherometer base for both of
the dial indicators.
I have several spherometers (anybody want to buy one?) of the 4" diameter
with brass feet and use them frequently for checking ROC.  I've got to make
one or more that are a bit larger (I'd hope to do a 10" before too long) for
some larger stuff that I've got to do.
One of my spherometers has movable feet so that I can do various sized stuff
but unfortunately, it is a small one but I think that I'm going to the large
one so that it also can move the feet in and out.
