How about a 3" Slevogt for CCD use?
Most of the CCD's have a very small imaging area so there would not be
that large a core to drill (I know it should be done first) and the
secondary would be rather small. The same would apply to the corrector.
Total length would be under a foot (30cm).
The smallest film schmidt camera that I know of is the old
Celestron/Epoch 5", and it had problems with vignetting on 35mm film.
