It shouldn't take a couple of hours, unless you are working on a quite 
large mirror.  Unless your CeO polish is very rough, switching to rouge 
should smooth it out pretty quickly.  The difference between a CeO 
polish and a rouge polish is at a very small height level.  Doesn't take 
a lot of material removal to smooth it out.

The slower action rouge gives may make figuring easier too.
