Just for a reality check of my own, when y'all are talking dew heater power,
are you talking about continuous heater power or power used in a closed loop
dew heater that powers the heater non-continuously such as my circuit (
http://mysite.verizon.net/res0owmd/id1.html ) that cycles power only when
needed? My circuit uses the only the minimum heater power even if the on
time power is set to many watts. In reality, my closed loop dew heater can
effectively use much less overall power than a lower wattage open loop
continuous dew heater. BTW, most optics are made of very poor thermal
conducting glass. If the heater is in contact with glass optics it probably
makes little difference if your running 1W or 5W.
...TL is dead...yes, he's on the ouside looking in. :-)
