Re: [ATM] Alt/Az goto scope, lateral shift when moving up/down
I had a similar problem with my 10" Dob with teflon
bearings. The mirror box moves side to side when the
tube is rotated up and down.
There are at least two possible solutions, listed
below. Note, "bearings" could be ball bearings with
wheels, felt or teflon pads.
1. A second set of bearings on the inside of the
rocker box that contact the mirror box.
2. A set of bearings that mount on the outside of the
altitude bearings.
