[ATM] Re: How to get "b" and surface figure from Texereau styledata points???
I might have answered part of my own question:
Just as wavefront deviation, from the target spherical wavefront, is calculated by Tex graphically as the "integral" of wavefront angular deviation as the zones go from #1 to #4, the surface figure angular deviation, relative to the target parabolic surface, should be 1/2 of the wavefront angular deviation. This is since an angular tweak of the surface normal produces twice that tweak in the reflected ray. So that at least will get me a very rough picture of the surface figure relative to the parabola. I suppose that to get this relative to the sphere, I just need to add back the difference in surface height between the parab and the sphere.
Of course, this still doesn't answer my other question about calculating "b" from 4 Foucault test zones.
