This is not intuitive.  I can see how the support must be  stronger to create 
the same solid working.  I'm not questioning the  accuracy, but I don't 
understand why a higher balance point should affect a  solid smooth working.  Can 
you explain?  I am planning my "large"  scope and thought I'd want a higher 
balance point  to shorten the ladder,  but I will change the design before 
forfeiting solid and smooth.
