Actually, your flat does need to be flat as the angle varies depending upon
the angle of the flat's difference to the paraboloid.  If you are setting
the scope up with a small angle then the curvature can be a lot larger than
if the angle is larger.  The Porter Telescope is set at 45 degrees and that
makes the curvature problem as bad as a normal secondary in a Newtonian
telescope design.
