[ATM] ATM Grit Sequence for 8" Mirror

Hello Satish

In my 8" f6 mirror I use the following grits sequence:
#80, #120, #320, #500 and #800
All silicon carbide.
This worked fine for me, and it took me about 15 hs. to polish. (well, my
mirror is not of Pyrex, just plate glass, wich is softer than pyrex, and I
use rouge instead of CeO, so this info are of litlle value to you)

For the mesure of the sagita, I used the method of the metalic ruler and the
drill bits, as described by Jerry in his mail.
It is simple and rapid to control the sagita in this way.
I didn't used a dial indicator, only my steel rule and the drill bit.
For your information, originally I decided to grind my mirror at F6, but
finally it was F5.8
This difference is of no importance for me.

Hope this helps
Good luck with your mirror !
