FW: [ATM] make ronchi grating

Naw, make your own:

Search the archives (http://astro.umsystem.edu/atm/search.html) for "make
ronchi grating" and you get (amongst many):

http://astro.umsystem.edu/atm/ARCHIVES/JUN97/msg00266.html

For postscript code you can use to print your own gratings on
transparencies. Works a treat for me. I use 133 lpi.

If you look thru the archives, you'll also see several ways to make your
own, wrapping fine wire or monofilament around a simple frame.

Also try to Google "make ronchi grating" and you'll find:

Subject: [ATM] ronchi grating

Hello to all,

I have started to polish my mirror, and I have built my knife edge/ronchi
tester. the only thing I am missing is the ronchi grate. I have seen in
the atm boards that this has been bought at orion, and edmonds, I checked
edmonds and they wanted $37 for it, and newport glass wanted over $20 for
thiers also. but the prices I have seen on the boards are all around $6.
is it possible to make this grating with the computer with success? or is
there a web site that I can order this from. I have ordered the orion
catalog and will check in there also when it comes in. I can do the knife
edge test and wire test with no issues, but I would like to follow up with
the ronchi. If anybody has any knowledge of where I can get this grating
please let me know. If there is a way to make it and have it done
correctly, please let me know also.

clear skys to all
