[ATM] Re: ATM Pre-polish with HCF

Ok is the HFC in a roll or is it a flat sheet? Dosn't really matter, because
you should have it as flat as you can get for this to work.

With the sheet face down, flame the back to melt some of the wax. you then
lay your heated tool, not too hot or it will melt the HFC totally. Your
trying to "Weld" the HFC to the tool. Once the HFC is on the tool you want
to hot press it to get good contact at this stage you add the polishing
agent of you choice. You should also move the mirror and toll from time to
time in relation to each other.

Hope this is the info you were after if mot I'm sure someone else on the
list will jump in to give more help.

Clear skies, Thomas.

Subject: ATM Pre-polish with HCF

I am thinking in use a HCF lap with grit to do a pre-polish. How it is the
fist time I work with HCF I would like to know if I can glue the beeswax
sheet directly on the toll or I need to use pitch for glue it.
