The cooler pitch is closer to the point of being semirigid and thus any
spots that are cooler will be a lot more solid. Since I am waiting for
things to get to an even temp (mostly in the microwave where heating really
isn't that even) I'll move the pitch mass about and try to get it all nice
and flowing.
The pitch does flow but just not as fast as pouring it onto a dammed tool.
Plop a mirror down on that hot stuff and the pitch forms the mate to the
glass in a few seconds while it takes a minute or so and some weight to do
so with the cooler pitch flowing into my mold. You just need a bit of
patience and some weight with the cooler pitch. It doesn't move in seconds
but rather in minutes.
