ATM Stripped Down eyepiece

Hello List.

I have recently found a source of inexpensive 4in newt. mirrors
with 1in diagonals. The F.L. is 865mm (F8.65). 

I want to use this as a finder, with a 40mm Plossl, but don't want the 
weight of the 40mm eyepiece. The finder won't even have a focuser.
SO does anyone know of plans for a commercial 40mm plossl that has
been stripped down to a bare minimum, or know of any commercial eyepieces
that can be modified in this way?
