As far as I know, it is literally... unique.

Instead of the usual roll off roof, the whole observatory rolls away from
the telescope.

One of the unforseen features of this design is that it can be heated in
Winter without affecting the scope in any way.

An electric heater and remote focuser is a cold killer combination.

Furthermore, it is inexpensive and can be a weekend project.

It has the added benefit of lots of room when the scope is "out there".
