Hi All, I will soon be making a new lap to figure an 8-inch mirror. Unless list members advise differently, I’ll be using a 6” lap. Should I channel the lap, or just press it with fiberglass window screen between lap and mirror, or both? Should the lap be on the soft side? Mirror is currently nice and spherical with a good edge.
