I am building a small 5" scope using a Hastings 7" aluminum tube.  I am
contemplating sanding it with 320 grit inside and out and etching it in a
Lye solutionj. Has anyone tried this. I have done it with aluminum
electronic chassis and panels and it worked OK.

Any other ideas?
