Re: ATM telescope making books




Up until only a few years ago, the only way to get the information about
telescope making was to get it from a book.  Now, there is the Internet and
all of that information is available on the web for your perusal and
edification.  Not only that, but you can view the different writings of the
various people and review them against your understanding without having to
spend a lot of money doing so.
The Texereau book was originally done in French (the guy was a frenchman
after all) and translated into english in the '50s.  Later on, Willmann-Bell
updated it with a lot more pages of stuff around the original text and has
reprinted it as the second edition - actually the third edition of the book.
