RE: ATM mirrors

Hello,
I am setting up my first mirror, recieved a kit from www.mirrorkits.com, a
1" x 6" blank and everything to make the mirror. I have gone through the 80
grit and 120. I have 3 pits left that are a little bit bigger than the rest
and I have dotted them with a sharpie and will grind them out later this
week. I also need to make a spherometer to gauge any high/low spots on the
mirror. my question is, with the lap, what is the timming of the stroke to
get a good figure, once a second, one stroke per 2 seconds? And you may
want to check on www.mirrorkits.com, www.newportglass.com for blanks. both
have blanks larger than 12" at 1" thick.

thanks

charles
