Re: ATM Turcite X
I addition to the post from Don Clement about his experience with Turcite X.
Acetal (POM) - Turcite X®
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Acetal (POM) - A crystalline thermoplastic polymer which is strong, rigid,
has excellent dimensional stability, low coefficient of friction, has good
abrasion and impact resistance, and low moisture absorption.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Turcite® - W.S. Shamban and Company's trade name for their family of
materials. Each material exhibits excellent physical and mechanical
properties, dimensional stability, high fatigue and are resistant to
moisture absorption, chemicals and corrosion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Turcite X® - Red in color this grade has minimal hygroscopic characteristics
and low thermal expansion properties for a structurally stable material. It
also contains two migratory lubricants that enhance wear and excels in low
load and high speed applications.
