I've been starting Richard Schwartz's blanks at 320 with tile tools and it
takes about half an hour to clean a blank up to fully ground unless there is
a spot where the mold release clumped up and that will take about 2 hours of
firm grinding to get there.
I'm working on 4 of his mirrors right now and it is getting a bit boring
grinding on 4 mirrors with one tool!  At least I am going to be putting pads
on to polish this week!
