Keith, There is no need to add CEO to your pitch. Once you start
polishing the CEO will lock
itself into the surface of the pitch and sink deep into the laps surface.
Then you add more CEO
and polish, and then it sinks into the pitch. After a few hours of polishing
your pitch will have plenty
of CEO in it. Later when you melt this pitch down to make another lap (
and you will) the CEO is
still in the pitch. Your next lap will have this CEO inside so you will
have to add more for the surface
of the lap. Many people use new pitch and feel it is necessary to start
clean...., only to add the same
CEO (but new) to the new pitch.......Why??? I spoke with a friend who
helps with mirror grinding
classes and as the students redo their pitch laps and break off the "old"
pitch into plastic bags ready
to throw into the garbage,... he salvages the mess and melts it down to use
again. He has so much
pitch he says he will never need to buy anymore... Your pitch is a
"Tool", unless it gets some real
bad contamination, it can be used over and over... Russ Jocoy
