Indeed.  "Conventional wisdom" should be abandoned only in favor
of "unconventional wisdom", not "conventional folly".  Sometimes
"unconventional folly" is called for, called "research" when it
succeeds.  But wisdom teaches that a mistake turns to folly only
upon repetition.
