I have still a 20" _convex_ plate glass tool from an old work
It was originally 19 mm thick (at the time I used it glued
to a substrate), so it is probably at least 15-17 mm thick in
the center. So you would have to cut it to the desired
diameter, and even so it would still be very thin, aside
to having a convex back (manageable, but not a help)...
