Depends upon how portable you want it to be.
A typical small tripod for a 6" can be about 10lb. or so or you can get a
better one for about 30lb.  Most tripods in that size will easily slide into
a package about the same diameter and length as the scope tube so you will
end up with two packages the size of the 6" F8 scope that need to go
somewhere.  They should fit nicely in the fromt passenger seat of about any
car.
