Re: ATM Tube construction for a permanent mounted scope
Try searching for "Serrurier Truss", which I believe is the correct
spelling. I'm building one (what I would have called a "double truss"
(trusses from midpoint to the secondary cage as well as midpoint to the
mirror cell)) for my 16" project just kicking off now.
I found a really nice example off Steven Lee's site:

Seems to be a new addition, I don't think it was there last time I
looked at his site.
