Russ, I was going to bring this stuff to the lists' attention also. I have
centered my 25 inch blank on my grinding machine and have completed my coarse
grinding with just the mat to hold it in place and it didn't move a hair. That
is with high speed and 47 lbs on the over arm. Of course finer grits and
polishing will be more of a test than 70 grit but I am fairly sure it will stay
as stable.
