Friday night at Chabot, for a while, I stood in the haul just outside the
mirror testing room.  On the wall are pictured thirty years of telescopes.
Around the corner, behind me from where I stood, in the large room, four
mirrors were being polished and five ground. While Paul, who's run the show
from the get go, tested glass a wall away, I and a young man, his father
and younger sister in tow, spoke.  We counted our stitches.  Over all,
hands down, he has me beat.  But I won the non-dominant index finger
division.
