While you have two wonderful things I don't think they
are well suited to working together.  But your lens
will make a superb photographic astrograph.....  A
number of the 7" focal length f/2.5 Aero Extars have
been used that way.  But with the 13.8 inch focal
length and your surely quite small CCD I think you have
a poor match.  Cobble up some sort of a setup and test
it terrestrially - making both daylight and night shots
of distance objects.  (Though thermal air currents may
present getting a good result - view the objects you
are photographing with binoculars or a low power
telescope to see if you have a good mirage free path.)
