ATM Teflon powder

I think most of it comes out of the reactor as a powder. Also, I remember a product from
DuPont that was a very fine Teflon (PTFE) powder suspended in a flourinated solvent.
Where I used to work, it was used as a lubricant and antistick compound for things going
into electronic cables. I don't recall the DuPont trade name. I don't think the Teflon
started out in the solvent. It probably came out of the reactor as a powder and was mixed
with the solvent. There are several Teflon filled plastic compounds. Somebody, very
likely DuPont, but possibly 3M or ICI is supplying the powder for those jobs. Try asking
their sales office. Best of all is if you can get through to an applications engineer.
It's their business to know about those things.
