Re: ATM LIttle Glass Buttons

Hi ATMers:

First, let me thank you all for the wealth of information and suggestions that came via the list and private email. The problem is solved, I think. Here's what happened.

My wife, Linda, asked me how the lens grinding was going, so I told her my tale of woes and how I needed numerous little squares of glass or ceramic tile.

She said, "Why don't you just cut them out of some window glass?"

I told her that I needed several hundered of these little devils and that it would take hours to make them.

"Jeez, Dave, you sure can make a mountain out of a mole hill. You make dinner and I'll cut them in a few minutes."

So, I proceeded to make Chicken Garum Masala, Basmanti rice and my famous take-your-nose-off Cranberry chutney. Before I had the chicken in the oven Linda was back with 200 perfectly cut 1/2" squares of single-thickness plate glass. As she predicted, it took about 15 minutes. An hour later the chicken was done.

In the end I spent ten times more time trying to think up an easy way out of making the squares than it took to make them. Moral of the story? Please add one here.... <g>
