Re Dob kits, I don't think I've seen anyone else mention this:

Pocono is advertising truss tube Dob kits called "Tele-Kits"
in sizes from 10-20".

They don't give any details in their catalog, and only
sketchy information in their Sky&Telescope ad. 
I sent them some email asking for more information.

BTW, thanks for all the great recommendations on woodworking
tools and where to get alt bearings!  Now I'm going to redesign my
6" Dob one more time before launching into the 12-13" project ...
