ATM 7" soda-lime tempered glass...
How's it going, everybody?
A gentleman at my astronomy club today gave me a pair of 7" disks of
tempered soda-lime glass. He got them from a high-vacuum lab that
was replacing the windows on their chambers. He said he had a stack
of them about five feet high!
Anyway, I was contemplating what I'm going to do to them (I'm leaning
toward binoculars, myself) but thought I would ask the list as to what
you all think. Feel free to come up with wierd and strange ideas, I like
'em.
The extreme low startup cost (free) of these blanks makes me think of
doing some experimental stuff, just to find out if they'd work; let me
know.
Later!

P.S. I'll be out of town for a couple days, so don't think I've fallen off the
face of the planet if I don't reply right away...
