Hi Peter,

One way to dampen vibration from the motor to turntable is to use a
segmented elastic belt. These are used on woodworking table saws to
minimize the vibrational transfer.  Should work pretty well here too.

I may try my hand at casting in the future... as soon as I get my 17.5" DOB
going and grind my 12.5" f6 and finish my "honey do" list (that exceeds my
rather tall height)!  But....one of these days....
