ATM MakNewt Project

Further update in the 6" MakNewt Project

Almost thought I had the corrector nailed, but no matter what I did,
couldn’t stop the cx side from flattening out, even with cc tool on top,
even with an accentuated edge working stroke, and only by cutting a star
into the center of the lap, could I finish polishing out the edge, with
out it flattening more, but, by then it was to late.

So, ground it significantly too deep, and will use the lap with the star
in the center cut out, till the edge is polished out, then with a normal
lap, will let it drift on in to spec. Thickness changed from

This has actually been fun, as well as educational.

Concave side is polished out, and is drifting into spec, getting deeper
as we go, cc corrector on top. .00015" more to go in the sag.

Wedge is less then .0001"

Onward..
