I tried it many years ago. Had bottles all over the place.
Pardon the pun U.K. friends but I wound up with a bloody mess.
If I had done this under a full moon I am sure I would have
been hanged for practising witchcraft :-(
After doing all this I was still getting sleeks. I then switched
to barnesite and the sleeks cleared up.
Do I hate rough? You bet. They make a fine CeO that comes premixed
with water in 1 Gal bottles. My pro friend tells me they have
CeO as fine as .03 micron. It's so fine it will not settle in air.
Anyway have fun but don't do this under the full moon <G>
