ATM Anodizing
Hi Folks:
A few months back there was some discussion of al anodizing and I had
mentioned that there was a something called "Engine Black" that is
a chemical blackening solution. I finally came across something that
appears to be the same stuff. Its called "Aluminum Black" You brush it
on
and was the residue off and it leaves a dull black finish. The softer
the
al the blacker it gets. You just have
to make sure the al is very clean. There was also a recent discussion
about blackening brass. There is also a "Brass Black"
The company that carries these items, also lots of small tools and
things
for camera repair etc. is called "FARGO ENTERPRISE" they have a online
catalog at http://www.fargo-ent.com/index.html. They appear to be very
efficient, I ordered and they shipped the same day.
Aloha
Brian
