Make sure that the cell isn't binding as it warms and cools.
I've seen beautiful work done on thing by some people and they
didn't provide enough slop in the joints so that things can move
about a little and taake up the general movement without
binnding.
Things like using tight ball or roller bearings on the joints to
make them move smoothly means that you can't make the bearing
wobble about in an angular direction and so forth.  Same thing
with bushings which are too tight.  Beautiful to look at but the
bearing can't even move up and down the shaft if needed to in
order to adjust to the conditions.
