[ATM] 17.5" Coulter mirror

To all, I sold over 10 of these disk's, which were all 1-5/8" thick. I aquired these after a buyout of old Coulter material. Many of these disk's had the "factory ripple" as shown in the photo , on the back side. Not all disk's had this but many did. I feel that the rear surface should be ground flat, this tends to eliminate any support problems while grinding.
I would suggest a measure of the thickness of the outer edge of this disk at different areas to see if the overall thickness is consistant. Looking at the photo of the back, it shows "casting ripples" from the "sheet" (these are up to 1/16" waves) .. this will not do, for mirror support or for mirror grinding... These Coulter mirror's are not cursed... Just mass produced "big" mirrors done cheap, and quick... Look at what you have..fix the basic's and refigure, you will end up with a nice mirror.....17.5 x 1-5/8" is not "thin" anymore.... Russ Jocoy
