I've got a question.

Say Dave ignores the chips, finishes 9 micron and goes to polishing.  When he presses his lap, the chips will leave high 
spots on the lap.  Not large of course, but there all the same.  These will cause accentuated local pressure.  For long 
polishing spells, they will get worn down and the effect won't be large, but during figuring, with short spells, the 
effect may be roughness and a tendency toward turned edge.

Anybody think I am, at least in principle, correct?
