Re: [ATM] Odd question...

Getting a bit of damage on the first surface implies tghat the
lens had some bad reflections internally and they focused the
image to where the furst surface is. This could happenb, I
suppose. I'd more suspect that there was more damage inside the
lens where the concentration of the light would be a lot higher
than at the first surface of the lens.
I onece took a set of photos of the partial solar eclipse of the
sun as it happened here in San Diego and had set the camera up
with all kinds of filters and multipliers so that the sun's image
was about a quarter of the area of teh film image. Got some
beautiful images of the sun setting through the clouds as the
moon passed in front of it. At the following RTMC, I noticed a
photo with a plane in it of the eclipse and realized that that
was me up there in that plane after talking with the guy that
took the photograph. We were the only ones in the area at the
time so it must have been me. Right place, right time and the
correct airplane. I've also got some photos of the sun setting
on the USS Constellation with the mail plane taking off from when
I was over off the coast of Vietnam. Photos of the sun are not
that hard to do as long as you use your head.
