Well in this case the lens are glued into the plastic cell so it can't
be reversed. (They sell a similar 80mm lens/cell that CAN be reversed).
It doesn't appear to be misassembled in this case, the construction is
this way by design (I'd love to see the telescope this went in to!).
Anyway it does seem to give a good image on though a 25mm eyepiece.
I'll soon have it assembled into to the point that I can star test it
and we will see.
Waiting in the wings are a pair of 6.75" dia, 3/4" thick glass disks I
cut from a larger sheet of glass. I plan on grinding one of them (other
one is the tool) to make an F7 (48") primary mirror for a 'dob. (There
used to be a guy on this NG named Richard who HATED standard sized
mirrors. I planned on doing a 7" F7 mirror and trepanned two disks from
a sheet of surplus glass. Seems my cutter was a tad undersized and I
ended up with 6.75" of clear glass. Close enough I guess.)
