Hence my caution in the thread higher up Richard, about the vaguaries
of trying to measure to +/- 0.001mm in the real world. It's even more
fun in a dirty machine shop. I'll swear my Sylvania 0.0001mm linear
transducer is affected by how quickly i enter the room...
