[ATM] They come through for me, again
I have heard alot of not so generous talk about Newport Glass, but I have
never had a problem, and I have purchased alot of material from them.
I was going over some of my glass about a month ago when I noticed that I
have two 7" standard thickness pyrex blanks. I could not figure out what to
do with them when suddenly one night while reading Malacara, I became
inspired by the importance of optical flats. I decided after some research
to make a set of three. I recalled the 7" disks that I have, but I needed
one more. A call two weeks to Newport Glass and I put in an order for a
third 7" pyrex blank. The woman who took my order said that it would be
shipped in about two weeks, depending on whether they had to make up the
blank.
Today I noticed that they have charged my account for the blank. That has
meant in the past that it is being shipped forthwith.
I am looking forward to receiving the blank and I will keep the list
apprised of my progress.
